Construction Management Services – Township Hall & Bathroom Renovations

I. INTRODUCTION

Maple Grove Township is seeking proposals from qualified construction management firms to oversee the renovation of its township hall and restrooms located at 4017 Peet Rd, Chesaning, MI 48616. The selected Construction Manager (CM) will coordinate design, bidding, scheduling, and construction oversight.

II. PROJECT OVERVIEW

The project involves renovating the existing township hall, including updates to interior spaces and full renovations of both public and employee restrooms. Goals include improving accessibility, energy efficiency, functionality, and overall aesthetics, while ensuring minimal disruption to township operations.

III. SCOPE OF SERVICES

The selected Construction Manager will be expected to:

  • Work with township officials to finalize plans

  • Develop a project timeline and budget

  • Solicit and evaluate contractor bids

  • Oversee construction activities and coordinate trades

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes and ADA requirements

  • Maintain regular communication with township representatives

  • Manage punch-list, inspections, and close-out process

IV. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Fee Structure

V. SELECTION CRITERIA

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Experience with similar public projects

  • Qualifications of project team

  • Project approach and timeline

  • Fee proposal and cost-effectiveness

  • References and past performance

Note: While all qualified firms are encouraged to apply, Maple Grove Township gives preference to local contractors and firms with experience working in or near Saginaw County.

VII. QUESTIONS

Maple Grove Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive irregularities, or accept the proposal deemed most in the best interest of the township.
