Planning Commission

Maple Grove Township is accepting applications for an open seat on the Planning Commission.
This is a three-year appointment made by the Township Board.
Position Details
Term: 3 years
Meetings: Typically 6 regular meetings per year
Additional special meetings may be scheduled as needed
Compensation: $150 per meeting
Meeting Schedule: Evenings (dates set annually)
Responsibilities
Planning Commission members:
Review and make recommendations on zoning and land-use matters
Participate in public meetings and hearings
Help guide future development consistent with township ordinances and plans
Work collaboratively with fellow commissioners, township staff, and the public
Qualifications
Must be a Maple Grove Township resident
Interest in community planning, zoning, or local government
Willingness to review materials and attend meetings
No prior planning experience required (training is available)
